New Solar system discovered

NEW YORK: Astronomers have discovered a new planetary system which they claim has close similarities to our own solar system.

Using gravitational microlensing, the astronomers from a worldwide network of 11 nations have spotted the system which comprises a pair of planets that are orbiting a star half the size of our sun some 5,000 light years away.

According to team leader Prof Scott Gaudi, "Theorists have wondered whether gas giants in other solar systems would form in the same way as ours did. This system seems to answer in the affirmative."

Both the planets in the system, which has been named GLE-2006-BLG-109L, are smaller than Jupiter and Saturn.

While the larger planet is a slightly smaller version of Jupiter, having about 70 per cent of its mass, the other one is only about 30 per cent of the mass of Jupiter, making it closer in size to Saturn.

The planets are also much closer to their parent star -- the larger planet is 2.3 astronomical units (AU) from its sun, while the smaller planet is 4.6 AUs out.

In our solar system, Jupiter lies about 5.2 times as far from the sun as the Earth does -- i.e., it is a distance of 5.2 AUs from the sun -- while Saturn lies about 9.5 AUs away from the sun.

The sun at the heart of the new solar system is also dimmer than our sun but the temperatures on the two planets are probably similar to those on Jupiter and Saturn because they are closer to their star.

SEVEN - SIMPLE STRESS BUSTERS

1. Look around you at all the ways you have created your lifestyle. Whydid you make each lifestyle choice? Why do you work the hours you do?Why are your relationships in the state they are in?
This exercise helpsyou to remember that almost everything inis a direct result of a choice we have made and that we have the powerand the freedom to make a new choice anytime.

2. What are your priorities? How important is your spirituality, your family, your professional identity?
Consider this ranking when you're called tomake choices and compromises. When have you put your identity, your plans, and your self-nurturing onhold while you took care of someone else?

3. If you had 15 to 30 minutes each day for yourself, how would you spendit?
Schedule time for yourself. Mark it in your day planner or on the familycalendar.

4. How much of your stress level is the effect of over-dramatization?
Remind yourself that the level of stress you experience is directly relatedto the way you internalize it and the importance you place on your owndramatization.

5.Do nutrition and exercisecontribute to your stress orhelp you manage it?
If youaren't sure, keep anenergy diary to help youdetermine the hiddenfactors in your lifestyle thatmay be robbing you ofenergy. Make a plan tochange or eliminatethose influences.Log the times each daywhen you feel beat orburned out. For me, it's 3pm -- about the time I wantto hit the cookie jar. Try toschedule your workout (not a great big snack) for the time of day whenyou need an energy boost.

Respect yourself and your timeenough to delegate tasks and refuse to take on more than you canhandle.

7. Are you multi-tasking yourself into more stress?
When we try to do toomuch at once, we are raising, not lowering, our stress level. Multi-taskonly when you can realistically fulfill all tasks adequately. It's hard to tuneinto your kids while you catch up on your own reading, for example, andyou can't take time out for yourself while simultaneously devoting thetime to anyone else. Decide which tasks deserve your fullattention. Then give it.

12 Expert Google Search Tips

Explicit Phrase:Lets say you are looking for content about internet marketing. Instead of just typing internet marketing into the Google search box, you will likely be better off searching explicitly for the phrase. To do this, simply enclose the search phrase within double quotes.
Example: "internet marketing"
Exclude Words:Lets say you want to search for content about internet marketing, but you want to exclude any results that contain the term advertising. To do this, simply use the "-" sign in front of the word you want to exclude.
Example Search: internet marketing -advertising
Site Specific Search:Often, you want to search a specific website for content that matches a certain phrase. Even if the site doesn’t support a built-in search feature, you can use Google to search the site for your term. Simply use the "site:somesite.com" modifier.
Example: "internet marketing" site:www.smallbusinesshub.com

Example: "internet marketing" filetype:ppt
This OR That:By default, when you do a search, Google will include all the terms specified in the search. If you are looking for any one of one or more terms to match, then you can use the OR operator. (Note: The OR has to be capitalized).
Example: internet marketing OR advertising
Phone Listing:Let’s say someone calls you on your mobile number and you don’t know how it is. If all you have is a phone number, you can look it up on Google using the phonebook feature.
Example: phonebook:617-555-1212 (note: the provided number does not work – you’ll have to use a real number to get any results).
Area Code Lookup:If all you need to do is to look-up the area code for a phone number, just enter the 3-digit area code and Google will tell you where it’s from.
Example: 617
Numeric Ranges:This is a rarely used, but highly useful tip. Let’s say you want to find results that contain any of a range of numbers. You can do this by using the X..Y modifier (in case this is hard to read, what’s between the X and Y are two periods. This type of search is useful for years (as shown below), prices or anywhere where you want to provide a series of numbers.

Stock (Ticker Symbol):Just enter a valid ticker symbol as your search term and Google will give you the current financials and a quick thumb-nail chart for the stock.

Facts About the Moon

The Moon is the only natural satellite of Earth. The Moon, has been known since time immemorial. It is the second brightest object in the sky after the Sun. As the Moon orbits around the Earth. I takes approximately one month to complete one rotation. The Moon is the only celestial body that humans have travelled to and landed on and have brought samples. The Soviet spacecraft Luna 2 was the first one to land on the moon on the July 20, 1959. Neil Armstrong became the first man to step onto the surface of the Moon On July 20, 1969.
By simply viewing through the naked eye one can see two major types of terrain: relatively bright highlands and darker plains. The Moon has no atmosphere. The lunar sky is always dark as the diffraction of light requires an atmosphere. Various samples obtained reveal that there are three types of Terrain on the moon, the Regolith, the maria, and the Terrae. 'Regolith is the outermost part, the relatively bright, heavily cratered highlands are called "Terrae" and the dark, lightly cratered is called "Maria".
Meteorite impacts on the moon brought a variety of "exotic" rocks to the Moon. The samples obtained produced many different rock types for study. The underlying crust was also thinned and cracked due to the impacts. Due to the lack atmosphere nor any water, the components in the soils do not weather chemically as they would on Earth. Rocks more than 4 billion years old still exist there, yielding information about the early history of the solar system that is unavailable on Earth.
The gravitational forces between the Earth and the Moon cause some interesting effects. The most obvious is the tides. The Moon's gravitational attraction is stronger on the side of the Earth nearest to the Moon and weaker on the opposite side. Since the Earth, and particularly the oceans, is not perfectly rigid it is stretched out along the line toward the Moon. From our perspective on the Earth's surface we see two small bulges, one in the direction of the Moon and one directly opposite. The effect is much stronger in the ocean water than in the solid crust so the water bulges are higher.
The Moon has no global magnetic field. But some of its surface rocks exhibit magnetism which indicates there could have been a global magnetic field early in the Moon's history. The Moon's surface is completely exposed to the solar wind and many ions form the solar wind have become embedded in the moon's Regolith.
